‘The Marvels’ Runtime Mystery: Could it be Longer Than Expected?

Listen to the Article

Conflicting Theater Listings

Marvel fans are eagerly awaiting the release of The Marvels, but there's one question on their minds: How long will it be? Initial rumors suggested that the Brie Larson-led superhero sequel would be the shortest Marvel Studios movie ever with a runtime of just 1 hour and 38 minutes. However, recent theater listings in the U.K. have caused even more confusion. Cineworld, for example, lists the film as running for around 2 hours, while Odeon has it listed as 2 hours and 20 minutes. These conflicting runtimes have fans scratching their heads.

Placeholder Runtimes

It's likely that the theater listings simply have placeholder runtimes until the official information is released. They may have made educated guesses based on the lengths of previous Marvel films. For example, the Cinemark site hilariously lists the runtime as 0 minutes, which would make it the shortest MCU movie ever. However, this is probably just a placeholder until the real information is available.

The Truth Will Come Out

With the premiere of The Marvels approaching, fans won't have to wait much longer to find out the true runtime. Until then, all we know is that Brie Larson's comeback as Carol Danvers could be anywhere between 0 and 140 minutes long. Hopefully, the official announcement will clear up the confusion once and for all.
